Within close proximity of the resort, fishing, tennis, water skiing and live entertainmentAre also available, or for the less energetic, a browse around the many shops of Bowness may take your fancy. One of the many on site facilities for residents is the Parklands Country Club, on all-weather leisure environment, with activities for all. These include a swimming pool with toddler pool, spa bath, and jet showers. Also available are a squash court, fitness room, badminton court, snooker hall, cocktail lounge bar, and restaurant offering many different types of food.
THE APARTMENTS
All lodges are fully fitted and tastefully decorated . The fully fitted kitchen comes with dishwasher and a microwave. All the units have telephones and there is a laundry on site. In the heart of England's Lake District lies Burnside Park Owners Club, nestling on the edge of Lake Windermere beside the well-known Burnside Hotel. The town of Bowness, a few minutes' walk away, offers a wide choice of restaurants and craft shops. The Burnside Hotel offers a restaurant and cocktail lounge and an extensive indoor leisure complex. If members are taking young children a "child pack" can be obtained for £12 for the week and consists of a cot,high chair and safety gate. DIRECTIONS
By road leave the motorway M6 at junction 36, following the duel carriageway (signposted Windermere & South Lakes), via the Kendal bypass and the A591. Immediately on entering Windermere turn left on the A592 to Bowness. At the lakeshore continue past the Steamer Pier for 300 yards to the Burnside Hotel which is on your left. By rail change for Windermere at Oxenholme, which is a main line station on the London / Euston / Glasgow Central Line. Taxis are usually available from Windermere Station forecourt.
